Fresh Eggs Daily® - Inspiring others to live a simple, wonderful, natural farm life... everyday. Because life is just better with chickens.
Fresh Eggs Daily® began as a chicken-themed Facebook page in January 2011 mainly as a place for backyard chicken keepers to share advice, photos and friendship. In two short years, the page has grown to almost 20,000 active fans and is one of the largest and best-regarded chicken pages on Facebook.
A sister duck page Ducks Too branched off in May 2012 to serve the needs of nearly 5,000 avid backyard duck keepers.
In January 2012, the Fresh Eggs Daily® blog was launched and throughout the year, Fresh Eggs Daily® became an active presence on Pinterest, YouTube and Twitter.
Fresh Eggs Daily®, via the various social media platforms, shares advice, tips and tricks to raise happy and healthy backyard flocks as naturally as possible, as well as recipes and other homesteading, gardening, DIY craft and farming ideas. Fresh Eggs Daily® has recently received mention in several magazines including Southern Living, Mother Earth News, Hobby Farms and Your Chickens.
The Fresh Eggs Daily® blog was named one of the 50 Best Farm Blogs for 2012, was voted #2 in the Modern Homestead Best Pages on Facebook list and is a featured poultry blog on the Manna Pro website.

Meet the Fresh Eggs Daily Farm Girls who make it all happen:

| Lisa, age 2, with her grandparents and their chickens |

A former Wall Street accountant and CPA, Lisa quit the rat race in 1995 to open a used bookstore on Long Island before meeting her husband. She wrote weekly book reviews for the local newspaper during her 6-year tenure owning the store. She sold the business and moved with her husband to Florida and ultimately to Virginia before he retired from the military and they were able to set down permanent roots.
Growing up around poultry, she was able to again start raising a backyard flock after her husband retired from the Navy and they bought a small hobby farm in Virginia so they could board their horses in their backyard.
She is now a very happy backyard chicken keeper, duck diva, gardener, homemaker and homesteader and continues to work 'round the clock to keep Fresh Eggs Daily® relevant, unique and interesting for her ever-growing fan base.

Yvette
C. (West Coast Correspondent/Blog Contributing Editor/Facebook Co-admin)
In addition to contributing to both the blog and Facebook page, Yvette works as a Health Care Manager in Central Washington State.
She lived all her life near the Seattle
area but she and her husband would travel hours on the weekends to enjoy what
they love the most – hiking, camping & fishing – so they moved across the
state where the weather is warmer and their playground is now in their back
yard.

She has four chickens, a cat & beautiful Blue Heeler. When she’s not riding her quad through the mountains, she can be found outside gardening or curled up on a bench reading.

She has been raising chickens since early in 2010 and looks forward to building a new home and chicken coop and expanding her flock this spring. She is the Fresh Eggs Daily® resident 'useless chicken trivia and fascinating facts & information' expert.
