I love to bake, as many of you who follow my blog know, and there's nothing better than baking with fresh eggs from your backyard chickens and ducks. It just makes sense to use the freshest, best-quality ingredients you can in all your recipes.
So I was thrilled when Sharon from Asheville Girls Vanilla contacted me and asked if I would like to try their Vanilla Extract. Their extract is homemade in North Carolina, using organic vanilla beans and pure alcohol and then aged.
If you have never tasted homemade vanilla extract, you don't know what you're missing. The bold, robust flavor of their vanilla puts store bought to shame (no surprise there!). After tasting how good the batch of sugar cookies I baked this weekend turned out using their vanilla, I am sold on it! They will be my source for vanilla extract from now on. (oh and p.s. their packaging is super cute too!)
