Fruit Nut Bread for the Chickens

I love to bake in the winter and have been experimenting with bread recipes lately.  I thought I would share one of my favorites.  Its easy, I usually have all the ingredients handy, and the girls love it!  Yes, that's right - its a bread for the CHICKENS.  I have substituted part of the flour with crumble, left out unhealthy salt and sugar, and added all kinds of dried fruits and nuts.

FRUIT NUT BREAD
(for the chickens)

Ingredients:
1T olive oil
1-1/2 C warm water
4 whole eggs, shells included, crushed
1 C crumble layer feed (or pellets moistened in some warm water)
2 C whole wheat flour
1 C old-fashioned oats
3T powdered milk
2T ground flax seed
2 t. yeast
¼ C raisins
¼ C dried cranberries and ¼ C dried blueberries
¼ C hulled unsalted sunflower seeds
½ C shelled walnuts, pecans, peanuts or other UNsalted nuts

Add ingredients to bread machine in order listed.  Set for 2lb. whole wheat cycle.
